The NorthEast SARex 2016 will be held in Gates County on 12,000 acres of river shore, swamp and pine plantations.The North Chowan Gameland will allow search and rescue teams the opportunity to operate in lifelike scenarios both on the water and on land. A command post will be established and operators will be assigned 204’s from the IMT staff. We encourage all levels of SAR individuals and Teams as well as IMT staff that needs to brush up or have a task book signed,to register . Exercise injects will drive the exercise play and the intent is to keep the exercise as close to real life as possible.There will be exercise play in hasty searches, grid searches, clue awareness, navigation, UAV use, dogs teams, side scan sonar… Registrants need not be on site for the entire event however, we would like to know your availablity upon registration so 204’s can be crafted. Camping will be available on site however no water or sewer hookups will be available. A Generator will be available for hookup. There are no onsite ammenities, however there are hotels within 30 miles in Ahoskie. Food will be supplied on site and all participants will receive a SARex Shirt. You will be in the boonies and gps may not get you there but signs will be present on the highway.
