Gates County Rescue & EMS has been making incredible progress in meeting our emergency medical service goals over the past two years. We’ve hired more paramedics, AEMTs, and EMTs. We now have a full, three-person crew, 24/7/365. We are also staffing 2-3 trucks during peak hours as needed. Our ambulances have been remounted, and we are now working on updating some of our medical equipment like cardiac monitors, stretchers, and stair chairs.
Stair chairs are beneficial for both the patient and the EMS responder. Many times, we cannot get a stretcher inside a residence. In this situation we need to resort to a stair chair. Our current chairs are way out of date and are becoming unsafe for the patient as well as for the responder. We think you deserve better. Therefore, we are in the process of raising funds and would like to ask for your help.
Our goal is to purchase four stair chairs, one for each ambulance. Each stair chair retails for $1,395; however, we can get volume pricing at $895 each. Four chairs would be a total of $3,580. We would greatly appreciate a tax-free donation of any amount to help us serve you better!
